The opportunity

Portfolio platforms show the work.
PixelPact helps make it.

Behance and Dribbble are strong showcases, but early-career designers still struggle to find collaborators and meaningful projects. We reframed the product around the work before the portfolio: forming a team, communicating clearly, staying accountable, and finishing something worth sharing.

What changed

We made collaboration the product—not a side feature.

Chat and live discussion ranked above video and scheduling. That signal moved communication to the center of the experience. A shared workspace then connected messages with roles, deadlines, progress, submissions, and a team leaderboard.

Core journey

From profile to project completion.

Users identify their skills, select a solo or nonprofit-backed collaborative project, form a team, set goals, submit work, and build visible proof of collaboration.

Testing & iteration

Clarity beats feature volume.

More than 15 usability participants surfaced confusion around navigation, incomplete content states, and the relationship between community and team spaces. We simplified the information architecture, made active projects easier to find, and used clearer language for team actions and progress.
